DuoDrip is the top hit of the EDO collection: its success at WOC 2016 among the international baristas community is due to the possibilities given by its innovative double extraction method.

The identity of every EDO product is to be searched on the real nature of EDO which, in fact, is not just a brand: it is a Baristas meeting point, an amplifier of ideas, a maker of dreams.

Edo is the place where every Barista or Coffee lover can present his idea, work with experts and realize a real tool to be sold on the market.

This is what happened to the Italian Davide Berti, the barista who had a brilliant idea and found in EDO a team where with passion and professionalism it has been possible to give birth to the DuoDrip, the double metal cone presented at the SCAE Excellence Awards in Dublin.

Hosted by Nuova Ricambi, during the 3 days of the World of Coffee, Davide Berti held demonstrations on the use of the double cone: every professional attending has been surprised by all the potentials offered by this new extraction method which gives the possibility to play with 2 different blends which will be extracted separately, the first by irroration, the second by percolation.

Using this method, the pre-infusion is not needed, the extraction time is much faster and the result is much cleaner:

- The first extraction is the base for the second one: it influences the aromatic notes in the cup, especially if using 2 different coffees. 
- The second extraction will highlight the qualities of the used coffee: in the bottom cone is it possible to play with every kind of coffee, tea or other products (fruits, spices….), givin the professional the chance to experiment with all the possibilities of modern mixology.
